She's one of Hollywood's most recognisable actresses.

But Margot Robbie managed to avoid the crowds when she flew to Australia over the weekend with her husband Tom Ackerley to attend a wedding.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Tuesday that the couple were in Melbourne to witness one of Margot's 'best friends' walk down the aisle.

The publication also reported that the I, Tonya star was listed on the seating plan as 'Mrs Tom Ackerley', suggesting she has taken her husband's surname.

Tom, 28, took to Instagram to share photos of himself and Margot to the wedding, with the Hollywood power couple exuding sartorial elegance.

Margot, 27, looked stunning in a metallic red gown from designer The Vampire's Wife, which is listed online at AU$2,377.

The gorgeous frock featured three-quarter length sleeves and clung to Margot's slender frame

Meanwhile, Tom looked delightfully dapper in a classic black tuxedo as the couple posed in a garden setting.

Margot, who married Tom in a secret ceremony in Byron Bay in December 2016, recently told Whimn that she and her husband rarely argue.

'We don't really fight. I know that sounds weird but we are not people who like conflict,' she said.

Margot continued: 'We don't need to yell at each other to know that we love each other. So, it's pretty chilled in our house. We get along really well.'

Margot is nominated for her first Oscar for her performance in I, Tonya. She is going up against Frances McDormand, Sally Hawkins and Saoirse Ronan.
