The date has been set, the venue chosen and the invites posted - but there was no rest for bride-to-be Eugenie this week as she jetted out to Los Angeles for a business trip this week.

The Princess of York, 27, was spotted leaving LAX Airport on Friday in a stylish longline camel coat, skinny jeans and black ankle boots.

Prince Andrew's youngest daughter couldn't resist flashing her sparkling pink padparadscha sapphire ring as she smiled and waved at passersby.

She also accessorised with some delicate gold jewellery, wrapping up against the winter chill in a colourful striped scarf.

Eugenie, who will tie the knot with wine merchant Jack Brooksbank in October, was seen hauling a large leather tote along with a bag from Hauser & Wirth, the art gallery where she has worked as an associate director since 2015.

The gallery has an outpost in LA and was recently awarded the 2018 Chair’s Award, which recognises the importance of preserving the city's historic buildings.

She is likely to have been on a working visit at their stylish offices on East 3rd Street.

And the bride-to-be clearly didn't pack lightly, as an airport steward was seen helping her load at least three large suitcases onto a trolley before she checked in for her 11-hour flight.

Eugenie's role at Hauser & Wirth mainly involves planning special projects, supporting the artists in the gallery and managing events.

In a rare interview with Harper's Bazaar, the Queen's granddaughter said: 'I've loved art since I was very little. I knew I definitely wouldn't be a painter, but I knew this was the industry for me. I love being able to share my passion for art with people.'

Few details have been released about Eugenie's upcoming nuptials, but she is set to tie the knot with former Mahiki manager Jack on October 12 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor.

The date of the wedding falls on a Friday, breaking with royal tradition of holding marriage ceremonies on the weekend.

After seven years of dating, the couple are keen to walk down the aisle as soon as possible, and had indicated to the Queen and the Royal Family they would have ideally had an ‘Indian Summer’ wedding at Windsor in September.

A family friend told the Mail that Mr Brooksbank’s Nicaragua proposal had been ‘very traditional’, despite the fact that the couple have been dating for so long.

‘Jack went and asked the Duke’s permission for his daughter’s hand in marriage beforehand,’ they said.

‘He was absolutely delighted as they all love Jack. He’s a good man and he and Eugenie are so happy together.’
