The singer took to Instagram to share a number of snaps from her birthday party - causing followers to brand her their 'girl crush', and note she has hardly aged since her pop star heyday.

Standing in front of two birthday balloons, Rachel proved to be incredibly excited for the milestone, writing in the caption: 'Glass of wine at the ready, waiting to welcome all my fabulous friends and fam. We’re ready to par-tayyyyy! Can’t believe I’m 40!!'
However, styling her hair into bouncy waves and sporting minimal make-up, it was the singer's radiant complexion that took centre stage - causing fans to laud her youthful appearance in the comments.
